Professional Medical Practice in Daisy Hill

Established in 1975, Daisy Hill Surgery is a family medical practice that has been looking after the people of Daisy Hill and surrounding areas for over 40 years. We provide comprehensive medical services for children and adults and we’ve become known as the surgery that really cares, with our expert medical treatments complemented by the very highest standard of genuine personal care and attention.

Appointments

To make an appointment to see our friendly doctors, please call our reception team on 07 3208 1022. We always endeavor to find you an appointment to see our doctors as soon as possible but emergencies will always be given priority. Should there be any unforeseen delay, or if your GP has been called away, our reception staff will always keep you informed.

If you need care outside of our normal business hours and it is an emergency, please call 000 or attend your nearest emergency department. Daisy Hill Surgery operates its own After Hours Service. If you require urgent medical care while the surgery is closed, please call 0424 700 767. We do provide home visits for regular patients where the doctor deems it to be necessary.

Reminder System

At Daisy Hill Surgery, we are absolutely committed to preventative care. That means we like to prevent problems, illnesses and conditions before they happen by promoting a healthy lifestyle and regular check-ups with your GP. We may send you a reminder notice from time to time offering you preventative health services appropriate to your care. If you do not wish to be part of this system, please let the receptionists know.

Fees and Billing

Please contact our reception team who will be happy to provide you with the costs of our consultations and treatments. Fees are payable at the time of the consultation and we can accept payment by cash, EFTPOS, Mastercard or Visa. Your health is our absolute priority so if you have any difficulty paying for your treatment, please discuss it with your doctor and we’ll do our best to help.

All pensioners/HCC holders and children 16 years and younger will be bulk billed to Medicare and Veterans will be billed to the Department of Veteran Affairs.

Your Rights

We are always looking to improve the care we provide at Daisy Hill Surgery and continue to meet patients’ needs by listening to your feedback. If you ever have any issues with our service, we would like to hear from you. Please feel free to talk to your Doctor, or our friendly reception team. We take your concerns, suggestions and complaints seriously. All formal complaints should be in writing and sent to: doctors@daisyhillsurgery.com.au.

Telephone Access

GPs in the practice may be contacted during normal surgery hours. If the GP is with a patient, a message will be taken and the reception staff will advise you when it is likely that the GP will return your call. Your call will always be put through to a clinical staff member in an emergency.

Results

If you are a patient, waiting on results, you doctor will advise you of when they are expected to arrive at the surgery. You will be required to make a follow up appointment for your results.

Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff. We abide by Australian Privacy Principles outlined in the Australian Privacy Act.
